8:40 Glattburg station.
8:54 Zurich station.
9:44 Arth-Goldau. It was a small town that appeared quite rural.
9:41 Took a small train that traveled up Mount Rigi.
10:10 Train started. The car I was in was half-full of screaming children.
10:14 Sheep! They sat close to each other under a tree.
10:45 Arrived at Rigi Kulm, the top of the mountain. The view was mesmerizing.
A narrow walkway to prevent cows from passing.
11:40 Went to Rigi hotel restaurant and ordered brunch. Chicken schnitzel, french fries, and vegetables. It was self-served. CHF 18.50.
The food was pretty good, especially for the price since this was at a tourist destination.
12:07 We ate outside, but since we had to wait for the next train for 1 hour we decided to go inside. It was much warmer and we both felt drowsy.
12:55 Boarded the train going down. The train felt more antique than the one we took earlier.
13:00 Train started.
13:01 Saw someone parachuting. It looked fun.
13:50 Ferry. The view was great. It was a little chilly though. My daypack strap got stuck in a bench and I panicked for a few minutes trying to get it out.
14:50 Bought pistachio ice cream. It was hot in the sun. CHF 4.
15:00 Went to a park nearby and rested. Children everywhere.
15:30 Started walking around. We walked through a chapel bridge that had flowers on the sides and art works on the ceiling. It was romantic.
Walked around the old town. Many houses were painted on the wall.
16:40 Luzern station. Looked around here and there.
17:05 On a completely packed train.
17:50 Zurich station.
18:05 Walked around a little for a dinner option and settled on Burger King. It tasted fine, but it was ridiculously expensive. CHF 14.90.
18:49 Glattburg station.
21:30 – 22:00 Played table tennis in the garage. It was hilarious because we were both pretty bad at it.
