Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden

2016 Dec 1

  • Visited: Weekday afternoon

They were located beside each other, making them convenient to visit. It’s interesting how they’re near tall apartment buildings and big mall.

Chi Lin Nunnery

The ponds with lotus were really pretty. It was not crowded so it felt very peaceful. Many sections were staff only, so I could look at only a small portion of the nunnery.

Nan Lian Garden

The garden was slightly crowded. It was very clean, colourful, and felt very organized. It was larger than I thought, and walking around it was nice because of large ponds. There was a teahouse with a nice view so I wanted to check it out, but it was expensive. As in, the most expensive pot of tea costed HKD 800 (~ USD 100) so I decided to pass up on it.
