Singapore Food Court – Rasapura Master’s

  • Ordered: Singapore Laksa
  • Price: SGD 8.80 (~ USD 6.5)
  • Hours: Open 24 hours

Marin Bay Sands was an expensive hotel, and their breakfast buffet was whopping SGD 45 (~ USD 34). According to reviews it was definitely not worth the price, so I decided to check out the food court option at the Shoppe, the shopping mall connected to MBS. It was near empty since I visited Monday late morning.

There were many stores but the one near the entrance had Singapore Laksa, which I was keen on trying.

I received the food within 3 minutes of ordering. It tasted great! It was very rich and oily with strong coconut and cilantro flavours. It was piping hot and quite spicy. The chicken was a little overcooked, but I enjoyed the dish overall. The bowl was huge so I thought I would not be able to finish but I did.

Thoughts

The food court had many Asian food options along with very clean restrooms, so this was a great alternative to otherwise expensive hotel breakfast. I really enjoyed the Laksa and appreciated that I didn’t have to travel far from my hotel. If I stayed at MBS I would probably eat breakfast at Raspura Master’s again.
